App: Rookspire: Chess Roguelike

1. Overview
Rookspire is a chess roguelike that runs offline. The first act is free; an optional one-time purchase unlocks the full game. Apart from the technical purchase data for this purchase, the app collects no personal data.
- No user accounts, no advertising, no analytics or tracking services.
- Your run, progress and settings are stored only locally on your device.
- The full game purchase is handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store and managed through RevenueCat (section 5).
- An internet connection is used only to buy and restore the full game.
- Sharing and feedback happen only when you choose them and through your own apps (section 4).
2. Controller

Rookspire stores the following on your device, in the app's private storage: the current run (board, army, relics, map, random seed), your progress (unlocked armies and ascension levels, statistics, daily game results, whether the full game was bought) and your settings (language, volume, vibration, motion, text size). This data contains nothing about you as a person and never leaves your device.
You can delete your progress at any time in the app under Settings → "Reset progress". To remove all of the app's data, uninstall the app or clear its storage in your system settings. We cannot view, restore or delete this data, because it is never transmitted to us. A purchased full game is not lost: you can get it back in the settings with "Restore purchase".
4. Permissions and network access
The Android version requests the vibration permission, for optional haptic feedback on moves (can be turned off in the settings), as well as internet access and Google Play billing, used only to buy and restore the full game. The game itself sends no data. The app does not access the camera, microphone, contacts, location, photos or files outside its own storage.
Share result: If you choose "Share result" in the app, it hands a picture and one line of text (date, act or floor, captures, streak or glory) to the app you pick in your device's share sheet. Rookspire itself sends nothing and includes no identifiers or tracking links; what the app you pick does with the content is governed by its own privacy policy.
Send feedback: Under Settings → "Send feedback" the app opens your email app with a prepared message to support@gamificationlp.com. It names the app version, the device model, the Android version and the language; you see the text and decide yourself whether to send it. Rookspire sends nothing itself. If you send the message, section 7 applies.
Rating prompt: At selected moments the app may show the Google Play rating prompt. Google Play shows and processes it; Rookspire receives no data from it.
5. Full game: purchase through Google Play or the Apple App Store and RevenueCat
Rookspire is free. The full game is an optional one-time purchase, not a subscription. Purchase and payment are handled by Google (Google Play) or Apple (App Store) under their own responsibility and privacy policies. We receive no payment details such as credit card numbers and no names or email addresses.
To verify and restore the purchase and to detect refunds, the app uses RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., USA) as our processor. This involves a random app user ID that reveals nothing about you, and product, purchase and transaction data (which product, when, the store receipt). The legal basis is the performance of the purchase contract (Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR). Data may be transferred to the USA; the transfer relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses in the data processing agreement with RevenueCat. The data is kept as long as needed to manage the purchase and to meet statutory retention duties; we delete it on request to support@gamificationlp.com. RevenueCat's dashboard shows us purchase statistics (such as the number of purchases and refunds); they serve to process and verify the purchase, not to analyse how you play.

If you have agreed in your device settings to share diagnostic data with app developers, Google or Apple provide us with aggregated crash and stability statistics (called "Android vitals" at Google). This data is collected by the operating system or the store, not by the app; we use it only to fix bugs and cannot link it to any person.

6. Children
Rookspire is not directed at children under 13. Apart from the technical purchase data in section 5, the app collects no personal data.
7. Contact by email
If you contact us by email, we process your email address and the content of your message to answer your request. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering requests (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR). We delete the data once the request is settled, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
8. Your rights
You have the right to information (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR). Please contact support@gamificationlp.com for this.
If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with the Austrian data protection authority: www.dsb.gv.at.
9. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the app changes. Should Rookspire ever process further data, we will update this policy first.
